Housed on the second floor of the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC) in the brilliant Drake Family Skyscraper Gallery, the “Building Tall” exhibit features giant, 3-D-printed scale models of famous skyscrapers around the world, including some iconic buildings in China. The models examine how architects break boundaries to build over-the-top structures like the twisting, 2,073-foot Shanghai Tower, whose transparent second skin works with the environment to regulate internal temperatures.
