The Walther Collection, an art foundation dedicated to the critical understanding of historical and contemporary photography and related media, will host an extensive exhibition of works by Chinese artists at Neu-Ulm in Germany. The exhibition, titled “Then and Now: Life and Dreams Revisited,” will feature work by renowned artists including Ai Weiwei, Song Dong, Rong Rong, Yang Fudong, and Zhang Huan. The exhibition, curated by Christopher Phillips, also showcases work from younger artists such as Lu Yang and Lin Zhipeng and is a follow-up of 2018’s “Life and Dreams: Contemporary Chinese Photography and Media Art.” The 31 works will be displayed from May 5 to October 27.
